Where The Body Speaks is an editorial design project that explores how movement communicates emotion without words. Inspired by Latin and Standard ballroom dance, the project redefines ballroom as a contemporary and expressive form rather than something traditional or outdated.
The visual direction focuses on contrast — strength and elegance, tension and control— expressed through bold imagery and minimal typography. Each spread highlights body lines, connection, and movement, allowing the visuals to lead this storytelling.
This project is also shaped by my personal experience as a former Latin dance competitor, bringing a deeper understanding of performance, discipline, and emotional expression into the design.
